Chemical Peels

A series of peels is recommended to achieve optimal results.
It is recommended that you introduce ASAP skin products into your skin care routine 2 weeks prior to peel treatment. This will ensure optimal results are achieved and there is less likelihood of a reaction. During treatment you may feel a strong tingling sensation upon peel application. Immediately after treatment your skin may appear slightly pink and feel tight. Peel cannot be performed on any person allergic to aspirin, on client who used roaccutane in the last 3 months and discontinue use of retinoid one week prior to treatment. Safe use of these treatments in pregnancy has not been established.

In the first 12 hours following your treatment
Normal activities can be resumed immediately after a GP40 peel. Using moisturizer and sun protection after. Visible peeling is uncommon with this type of peel.

In the 3 days following your peel treatment

  • Always use sunscreen
  • Do not exfoliate for 3 days following peel treatment
  • Do not use any products with active ingredients in them such as Retin A for 3 days after peel
  • Do not pick or pull at any loosening or exfoliating skin. This could damage or cause pigmentation problems to your skin
  • ASAP soothing gel may help to calm any irritation you might experience
